"Father and son" Hunting

Need to bond with your son? What better place to do this than in the bush? This activity is aimed at bringing father and son together on a hunt. Dad can show his son how to identify and stalk game, how to preserve the environment and the way hunting should be done. A Professional Hunter will accompany the father/son group to offer advice and assist in generally making the hunt a truly memorable experience. This is a great way to pass on your experiences, spend quality time with your son and strengthen the bond between you. We also encourage women hunters to join in this popular and enjoyable sport .

Observers

We accommodate for non-hunters as well as observers.  Although we can not guarantee that
the observer will definitely see the actual kill due to the element of surprise and varied circumstances in the African bush, there has been many satisfied observers at Huntley Ferreira Safari's. This was possible due to the care we take and the effort put in to make it possible to see the actual kill. We also provide and organise sightseeing trips for observers to the Kruger National Park, Pilanesberg Game Reserve, Sun City, Cape Town and other famous tourist attractions.

Slaughtering and Caping:

Huntley Ferreira Safari's handles the field preparation of carcasses, and the caping, packing and transport thereof to taxidermists as far as Johannesburg – costs included in hunting tariffs. Dipping and shipping of trophies and all taxidermy work are not included and will involve extra costs.

Rifle Hunt:

Hunting is allowed throughout the year and fair chase hunts are mandatory at Huntley Ferreira Safari's. This is defined as the pursuit of a free-roaming animal, or the pursuit of an animal, which is enclosed in an area large enough for it to be able to breed and forage or hunt freely. The animal should possess the natural behavioural inclination to escape from the hunter and be fully free to do so.

Trophy hunting by international clients is subject to uniform legislation throughout South Africa and all hunters are required to be accompanied by a registered Professional Hunter.
